An impacted tooth is a tooth that, for some reason, has not erupted in the mouth. Most of the times it is your third molar that is impacted. It is either partial or complete blockage of eruption. Most of the cases that report in our clinic complain of severe pain and swelling of tissues near the impacted tooth and even of the gums. Unfortunately if you find out (using X-ray) that one of third molar is impacted then there is a high chance that all of third molars( upper as well as lower) will be impacted.
